It is hard but satisfying to teach foreign students.

It`s not easy to be a teacher in a foreign land.  There are many difficulties and trials that you can encounter such as:  the language barrier, the culture and the system of learning that they have.

The only secret ingredients of teaching the foreign students is to love and know that you care for them.  The students know if you are really sincere to them or just pretending that you care for them.

Here are some Bible verses that you need to read, it will help you really in handling the students:

Love

Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8)

"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love you neighbor, and hate your enemy.' "But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you (Matthew 5:43-44)

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I deliver my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all thing, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (1 Corinthians 13:1-7)

And we have beheld and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. (1 John 4:14-16)

For this, "You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, "you shall love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no wrong to a neighbor; love therefore is the fulfillment of the law. (Romans 13:9-10)

For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." But if you bite and devour one another, take care lest you be consumed by one another. But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets it's desire against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealously, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you just as I have forewarned you that those who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit let us also walk by the Spirit. Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another. (Galatians 5:14-26)

See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all men. (1 Thessalonians 5:15)

Sharing experiences in teaching students in a foreign land.

I love teaching, and it`s my dream even before my younger years.  I said to myself that I will become a teacher in the future.  I grew from a simple family in the Philippines.  I do really love to talk and act like a teacher during my childhood.  Sometimes, I call my friends and ask them to be my students and I enjoy doing it.

A product of public elementary, high school in Philippines.  After I graduated from secondary level,  I stopped for awhile and work for one year.  After that I took a scholarship from the school`s foundation, and thank God, I was able to continue my college.  I took Bachelor of Science  in Computer Science and thank praise God I was able to finish it.

I am also into stage acting.  My  hobbies are singing, watching interesting movies and reading interesting books.  My friends enjoy my company because of my funny and witty non-dirty jokes.
